FA crash on startup

I recently reinstalled FA and am having problems starting the game. When it launches the screen goes black and while it changes resolutions around it goes black again and then crashes to the desktop.

I installed the latest patch and the same result happens.

Windows 7 64-Bit|||There are no script warnings, but there is an error that mentions Direct3D9. Perhaps installing the latest DirectX runtime might help?|||X-Cubed|||Damn, that's a difficult problem then. Something deep down is wrong. I'd say reinstall or update video drivers, but this is actually beyond what I can really help with. Sorry.|||I installed the latest ATi drivers and it seemed to have helped. I was able to launch successfully!
And wow, was it great to play FA again!
