Some Fundamental Flaws in this game (probably fixable)

I am new to the game, and was impressed by how it focusses you away from holding individual units' hands to actually get them to attack. I like the features of the game such as ferrying, the tech tree, and the cool units.
However, what really bugs me is this (its a problem apparent in most RTS games) - When I select a group of different units to move (and they all have different speeds) there is a massive spread. The first time I was expecting them to move at the pace of the slowest unit, however they were massively staggered and so were short work for the enemies defenses. Rather than smashing an enemy front with a massive army, my force was staggered into an easy to kill stream of units. Is there any mods out there which fix this (I have the latest patches)
Also, there are no large storage facilites. Telling some engineers to build 100 mass storages is a tad tedious. Are there any mods which add extra buildings such as these?|||Protips;
- Hold the Right mouse button when making a move order, then you can layout the Formation for a 'Formation Move Order' which will for teh unit to move in Formation. But honestly,how many kinds of units are in your army that teh WHOLE thing is staggared, I can see things like AA getting left behind and maybe MMLs, but really, the rest of your army shouldn't bee too worse for ware, and from how far away are you seending them directly into battle? SupCom maybe not encourage babysitting individual units, but you still have to supervise your army because when traversing larger distances making lots of turns CAN string them out more but waiting until they've rallied closer to the enemy base before giving the attack order does wonders too.
- Surround your T2 and T3 Mass Extractors with Storage, it boosts thier output and gives you more storage. There are mods for bigger storage, but honestly I don't see why you need THAT many unless your trying to Build a Basilisk in less than 10 seconds, and even then Energy is more the issue ;p
Mike|||Thanks, I have no idea about the move in formation feature. I will try.
Regarding the storage, it still bugs me when I am in an economic boom that once Ive reached full capacity, I cant store it without devoting almost a thenth of the map to storage structures. Even if i surround the mass extractors with storages, it still provide enough storage|||The situation which you're describing sounds like you're playing the game.. Not necessarily 'wrong', but definitely not how it's played online. Try the IMBA mod if you want something which gives larger storage facilities.. etc. You can get it from the GPG Vault, but I don't think you can get it from anywhere else.|||A second question: When I play online/skirmish, I can't find the L3 transport. I always play as UEF so its supposed to be the UEF t3 Heavy Air Transport. When I have a t3 air factory, its not there... what am I doing wrong?|||Do you have FA (the Forged Alliance expansion pack)? That's an FA unit.|||Mrblbshrtz|||yeah, you should always be spending a little more mass than you're generating, unless you're a master and can juggle it perfectly.|||pkc|||X-Cubed|||Mrblbshrtz|||FA is generally considered to be better than SC1.
The lower metascore is probably because it's an expansion and the novelty has worn off by then.|||FA is indeed FAR superior to SC1,the key points;
Better overall balance(there are still some issues thought)
Better game flow with more emphasis on map control you're not sitting around nearly as much against equal skilled opponents.
The game itself runs a touch better that SC1 did from what I recall.
All of the really good mods now only have FA versions.
