Random Musings: Cold based weaponry.

Why is it that the 3 factions never pursued cold based weaponry? Like dropping a bomb filled with liquid nitrogen on an enemy. Despite obviously slowing them down from the ice, the temperature shock could possibly destroy certain units.
Like the Monkeylord. It's Maser is huge and it runs incredibly hot when firing. If a liquid nitrogen bomb were dropped on it, the thermal shock would wreak havoc on its systems. Sorta like cleaning out a hot coffee pot with cold water. Sometimes they shatter.|||Probably because the units are designed to operate in extreme conditions. Something that can survive a planet with lava and then survive an ice age is probably not going to notice a liquid nitrogen weapon.|||Mister_willing_to_learn|||Umm......cold weather isn't the same as extreme cold, I can imagine sometihng like tracks or such gettign heavily or at least cease functioning(temporaly) if suddenly a portion o the tracks/bogies are reduced to Absolute Zero. Not to mention is ice can form as part of the weapon jamming guns suddenly becomes an options.
comapred to say, a perfectly normal cannon it might not be effective, but its not to say it wouldn't work as a weapon.
Mike|||ah, nerds :lol:
the answer most likely lies in the development and balance of the factions, and not some silly fluff discussion.|||pkc
