Now I don't know if this happens because I'm running 7 or 8 mods at the same time or my PC just can't handle it but how fast a PC would I need to run 6 to 8 CPU players while having 7 to 8 activated mods with a 750 to 1000 unit limit ?
My current setup is a HP P6102F, AMD 925 QuadCore 2.8ghz 8GB ram & ATI Raedeon 4650 1GB card,Windows 7 HP.|||A monstrously fast CPU. More cores don't really help that much in SupCom since it can only efficiently use about 3 cores, but having a very high clockspeed helps a lot. Try to overclock that CPU to somewhere in the 3 GHz range. Or wait and see how the new AMD Bulldozer-class CPUs do, buy one, and overclock that.|||Hi,
mhhhh - i think here 2 problems ...
One is the crash , the other is the slowdone .....
For the slowdone :
As already writen, more cores as 4 dont help. But the speed help - and an fast RAM
AND an fast ram connection (not an ultra cheap MoBo who only run with software (BIOS) corrections stabel at cost from ram <> CPU speed ... I prefer HP workstations

But it dont crash for to low speed ! (besides the problem with texture settings i write in another thread who looks bad programming ....)
I can run it with 4 AIs and 1500 unit limmit on an 40x40 map AND more than 40 !! mods on an P4 2.8 2GB system (old IBM workstation) without problems - slow like hell - but it runs (or walk

But this is only for single player - an to slow PC cant handle this aND the internet connection properly - so GPGNet shut the game down - desynced. With an LAN connection or an router with VPN you can get higher chances its run longer as the overhead fron GPGNet is not here ...
For the crash:
It looks again bad programming or simply said -> the game need more patche/bugfixes .... but this will IMHO never happen.
I can run more than 40 mods without problems on an XP based Windows.(i have 2003 server SP2 R2 Ent).A frind have bought new an PC with Win7 - no chance to run more than 9-12 mods (its dont matter which mods ...) stabel ...
It deinstalls Win7 and get WinXP Pro - no problem on the same PC to run all mods.
So it looks SupCom FA is ONLY for XP based windows testet/bugfixed and on newer versions you get a higher chance to crash the game if you use more mods than "expectet" ....
[and to say it clear:It is testet to run the campaign or an quick fast online match with one or two mods and then it runs flawles - if you get more mods and looong games then you are always on the better side with XP - the version it was programmed ...]
(an friend have Vista and it is not sure if the random crashes we have come from problems with FA<>Vista or from his not soooo stabel PC [his PC have the nikname "Mr.BlueScreen" ......] )
And i have to say that it is not that it runs by myracle all mods - have found many mods who dont run(crash FA) or dont run properly with others - so it is already selected mods that run flawles together ....
Regards
