FA runs well in general with fps between 30 and 60. But it drops to 5-10 when zooming into explosions especially nukes. Problem wasnt significant in the original supcom.
Ive been ignoring it for a while but recently been getting the same fps drops if there are multiple Colossi or monkeylords firing on the ground on the screen.
Its a graphics issue since the it goes away when running ren_fx off.
I was wondering if this was common or whether there was a way around this.
Specs:
Core i7 720QM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730|||I think it has something to do with particle overdraw (too many particles). That can't really be helped other than a system upgrade or turning off effects. FA has more advanced particle effects, so it's more noticeable.|||Is it possible to turn off some of the particles. Im not too keen on great effects.|||Lower graphics settings I think. There might be more advanced settings, but I don't know them.
