allot of lag even at the beginning of the game

Hello i'm new here and i hope you could help me out.
I have nice PC with windows 7.
I5 750 processor.
Hd 5770 1GB GPU
4GB RAM 1333MHZ
OKay when i start the game everything runs smooth at 60 FPS.
Even when i start a battle and it's loading i get 60 FPS.
But when i'm getting into the battle i get only 10 FPS.
Is it normal to get 10 FPS at the beginning of the game???
I can't play like that it's just so annoying!
When i play Crysis 2, i get 30 FPS and that is allot better.
I hope you can help me out.|||Do you have a program called Core Maximizer running while FA is running? CM will distribute the process threads across your CPU cores much more efficiently, eliminating almost all of your framerate problems until the late game. I suggest you download it; it should be in one of the stickies on this forum.|||Core maximizer is not all that awesome IMO. I've used it quite a bit to see if it was worth it, then did some comaprisons with replays, and found the effect to be negligible at best. Yeah it does appear to use the multiple cores more efficiently, but that actual improvement in gameplay was not something I really could notice.|||I use the core maximizer and it give maybe 2 frames more but that is all.
I play on medium detail and on a HD ready resolution.
But with other games i can go up to high detail and full resolution like Command and Conquer 3.
I have the feeling the game is only using 2 core and not 4.|||i was under the impression core maximiser worked best with vanilla, but FA's stock code was much improved in this regard and didn't need it?
try turning off the range rings.|||I would try some OLDER graphics card drivers.
I had a problem where Generals would play great but battlefield 1942 wouldnt.
I rolled back the drivers, and suddenly 1942 ran smooth but Generals didnt.|||lorrie00|||Yes, the game only has 2 main threads. 1 thread handles the game simulation (all the things that happen in-game) and 1 thread handles the rendering, so if the sim thread gets bottlenecked, simspeed slowdown results. If the render thread gets bottlenecked, then fps drops. FA has about 20 other threads, but they are background threads that do very little. CM allows the sim and render threads to get their own cores each (ideally) as to reduce the bottleneck, but it's not always that effective.
It still does have an effect on FA, though not as pronounced. I have however noticed that load times are shorter with CM enabled.|||OC your cpu, i think your limited with 2660mhz|||yeah and how do i remove that limit? Amph|||lorrie00|||No, it is not normal to get 10fps at the beginning of the game.
Given your specs(even if you don't overclock the cpu) you should go into negative sim speeds when the whole population is 2000-2200 on a 10x10 map
or when the whole population is 1700-1900 in a 20x20 map(When you play online with other people). If you play against AIs you should not have any problems till the 2000 pop mark if you play against one AI, I can't give you numbers if you play against more AIs.... Oh and you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever if you play ranked. Your rig would be considered a dream gaming machine when SupCom was first published. You should go to the store that you bought your computer from, to run some kind of hardware and software diagnostics.
:!: :!: :!: DO NOT OVERCLOCK you rig, if you 're not sure everything runs fine.
