I've had supcom and FA for a long time. I recently reinstalled both and was giving them a good thurough play through and I noticed the UEF Neptune can't hit anything with its pew pew cannons most of the time. I took one of the battlecruisers for a 1 on 1 match against a seraphrim cruiser and the only way i got the lasers to hit the thing was by moving it in small circles around the ship and only then on occasion would they land. Otherwise if i just have it sitting somewhere to defend an area, the thing gets wasted by destroyers with out getting a single kill.... Am i doing something wrong here?|||This is the campaign, right? There is a campaign bug with the battlecruiser where it always aims as if its weapon was a projectile rather than a beam. No one has found a solution to this problem. But it works fine in skirmish and multiplayer.|||hrm interesting. im surprised GPG hasn't put out a patch for that. but yes, you're right its in the campaign. o well|||Campaign balance is different than normal balance. No one really knows where the code is the makes the campaign battlecruiser act the way it is. And GPG doesn't want to change campaign balance because many in-game cutscenes depend on its balance. And the timeframe for FA patches has long since passed, so it is what it is.|||Isnt there a mod that brings multiplayer balance into the campaign?|||Balance, but the campaign changes go beyond balance. I'm not sure if that mod fixed the battlecruiser.
I was pissed when I built 25 battlecruisers in the level in which they were introduced. I sent them out to... fire torpedoes. Only torpedoes. xD
