[:1]I'd like to do a comparative test or two in FA version 1.5.1603. Using the Alt-F2 cheat I inserted a unit of different factions in sandbox mode but the two refuse to shoot at each other. How do I get these two guys to blow each other away? I'm thinking that maybe there is a console command of some sort? Thanks.|||Just give one of the units to yourself and the other one to the civilian Army (Army9). But this will just work on maps where Army 9 is initialized.|||Koecher|||As far as I know that isnt documented somewhere, but you can figure it out yourself.
Just open the "SCMP_0**_scenario.lua" with an editor (the one that comes with windows is enough, if you search for a more powerfull one i recommend Notepad++). The Name of the Map is written there.|||Koecher|||Look in \gamedata at the unit.scd file. scd files are just renamed zip files, so either rename the file to unit.zip or use a program like 7-zip to extract the contents of the file. Within that scd file are many folder, one for each unit. Within each folder are several files for the units. Look at the .bp files. They are text files that define health/attack/movement/etc. values for the units.|||X-Cubed|||Enable the mod in the mod manager. That can be accessed either through the Extras menu or the Skirmish setup screen.|||X-Cubed|||Did you read the readme for the mod? Also, once in-game, go to options, then Interface. There are a lot more options there when the mod is activated. There are also improvements to build queues (you can drag-and-drop items in a queue) and the unit info popup.|||X-Cubed|||it won't show up in there is now part of teh user interface with in the game itsself you will need to modify the games interface where it tells you.
If you are still unsure on how to do that try running a seach for the mods name in the forum seach area that may help you out a lot more.|||Found it. I now know what you mean. Thank you.|||nps|||reddev33|||nps is no problems.
i think there either pre built in the game code or there located in game.prefs in th following location.
C:\Users\Danny\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\Supreme Commander Forged Alliance|||reddev33|||All hotkeys are coded so you'd need a mod to change them. If the GAZ UI doesn't offer it then it's either impossible or not worth implementing at the time. I think it might be because I've never heard about anyone using this feature, heck I'm sure a lot of people don't even know it exists. It's probably safe to say that if GAZ doesn't have it no other mod will.|||Legion Darrath|||download teh sorian ai that will give you a nice run for your money.|||reddev33|||Check out the AI Mods section, here.
Sorian and Duncan AIs are good ideas for download. Duncan's fixes the stock AI and adds some improvements, while Sorian's AI focuses more on creating a whole new one.
It's hard to say which version of Sorian's is "harder", you'd probably have to ask in his thread and some of the other users of the AI that have actually taken the time to study it could probably answer that for you.
