Will highet tech enginers build faster

Was thinking Of assasigning them to power build factories, but will higher tech engineers build faster!|||T1 engineers have a build power of 5. T2 is 10, while T3 is 15. So yes, they will build faster. However, the same amount of resources that are used in a T3 engineer will net you more than 3 T1 engineers.... Just some food for thought.|||What did u mean regarding 3 T1?|||Not sure how much of the game you already know, so forgive me if I talk about things you know.
You can have multiple engineers work on the same project. There are some very basic limitations to it (ie, having engineers of different tech levels selected will only show the build que of the the lowest tech's engineer), but otherwise you can stack as many as you like onto the same project. Build rate/power stacks linear, so 3 T1 engineers equals 1 T3 engineer in build speed. So, if you wanted to power build a Quantum Gate, for example, you can start it with a T3 engineer, then throw in a bunch of T1s to assist. You'll get more effective build power for equal or less resources spent.|||Ahh yes thank you, my theory was right then, but a second question regarding adjancy bonus.
In simple terms what should be used on what? Cause I didn't fully grasp it|||Mass storage increases Mass Extractor output and Mass Fabricator output as well.
Energy Storage increases Energy output next to P-Gens.
I don't have numbers to support me however...|||A mass extractor that is fully surrounded with mass storage give 50% more mass income. A pgen surrounded with energy storages also gives 50% more energy income. A mex surrounded by pgens will reduce the energy cost of the mex. Mexes and pgens next to factories will reduce resource consumption by the factory by a small amount (I don't think the bonus applies to assisting engineers) and pgens next to artillery structures (not mobile artillery) will slightly increase the rate of fire.
Don't bother putting mexes next to factories, the storage bonus is better. Don't build mass storage around mexes unless the mex is at T2. Likewise, don't put pgens around mexes and energy storage is pretty useless (at least in version 3599). You can put pgens around factories, but space them out so that the death explosions won't cause a chain reaction. You could put pgens around artillery, but you won't get much of a bonus unless you use T2/3 pgens, in which case the death explosions might destroy the arty and thus is not a good idea.
In short, the mass storage-around-mex bonus is the only one you really need to think about.|||X-Cubed|||Elion
