Aeon Chrono-dampener Sucks

[:1]Looking back, how could the Chronodampener be improved to make Aeon ACUs better offensively?
Some ideas:
75% price cut so it will see early game use.
Or make one gun upgrade a second sequntial upgrade of the other, and place the Chronodampener in the old slot so that it is an arm upgrade too.
Make it an upgrade of the rapid-fire upgrade.|||If you can rly think about the aeon ACU.It is the strongest ACU from FA.(excluded the Cybran ACU with the laser)
(Enhanced Quantum Disrupter + Quantum Accelerator + Personal shield = IMBA)
No ACU can beat this ACU then.So you're rly thinking the aeon ACU isn't offensively?!
~>To the chrono damper:The units doing nothing around the ACU.What would you like more then that?I think that's a great upgrade.
(All faction ACUs have their special upgrades.I think that is all what I can say.)

Prince|||Seraphim ACU is better against it IMO(rapid fire and range upgrade, area and damage upgrade, double HP regen upgrade), but it's disappointing to see the Aeon ACU with an upgrade no one uses. Besides, those upgrade only double the Aeon ACU's damage, so it can't realy do anything in large T3 battles. UEF has a powerful shield bubble to protect other units/build ravagers safely, Cybran's untouchable, Seraphim does 800dps or regenerate friendly unit HP. Just sayin'.|||Overcharge sniping with the 35 range is pretty useful.
I would agree that chrono dampener is a pretty niche upgrade, so it could be buffed a little bit, but I don't think the Aeon ACU is underpowered or anything, especially with the enhanced resource generation.
I suppose the dampening field could do a slight amount of damage per second, like 15 or less, to basically nullify armor regen in the radius along with the stun effect.|||It's still too expensive to be used, thought, because in it's current state it is too short ranged and doesn't fire fast enough to be worth foregoing extra shield HP.|||Man, its too bad BO:ACUs isn't stock, Ex did all kinds of awesome **** to 'em, like the Aeon's Phason Beam, or Miasma Artillery!
But honestly, you should check it out unless your some kind of anti-mod hippy playing the game 3+ years after release ;p
Mike|||Well, like you said, those mods aren't stock. AND, they don't really address the chronodampener.|||Israelidomination|||My $.02:
Israelidomination|||Quote:|||The Supreme Commander franchise is now owned by Square Enix. Even if SE is willing to make SupCom3, GPG might not be the ones developing it. Just pointing that out.|||X-Cubed|||Quote:|||Well, how could it have been changed so that people might USE it? Because, you know, know one does...
Daaaaanngg... Square Enix owns Supcom? I had no idea.|||Israelidomination|||The chronodampener firing animation would look out of place on a Cybran ACU...
Perhaps it could be added as a right arm upgrade to the Aeon SCU? After all, they aren't that flexible offensively, you could just tone down the dampener's ROF and transfer it to them.|||Israelidomination|||Is everyone saying the Cybran ACU should have the Chrono-Dampener instead of the Aeon ACU? I can do this, with new graphics =p|||brandon007|||OrangeKnight|||Maybe let the Aeon ACU start with Chrono dampener and give it less HP as a trade-off?|||Wakke
