Looking for UEF against Normal AI replay

[:1]Suggestions?
I'm finding it impossible to beat Normal AI. I don't think it cheats, but how is it able to get so many units and rush me so quickly? Thanks.|||http://www.mediafire.com/file/p5m5yia0jji5nd5/Normal%20AI.SCFAReplay
Its been some time since I played stock thought, so its far from perfect.
Mike|||OrangeKnight|||yep, that's how big replays are (obviously longer/bigger games are larger).|||What version of FA are you running? The latest version is 3599. Replays are simply records of commands issued and are tied to a specific game version. If you have a different version, the replay will not open.|||X-Cubed|||OrangeKnight|||O wait, that must be Sorian's LEM, I keep forgetting about that
Mike|||Just for you :D

No mods or alternative AIs were active :wink:
I messed up the BO a little bit, but seems like it was enough to beat the normal AI :lol:|||Koecher|||The AI, especially the Stock AIs are stupid.
Very Stupid.
Honest you can beat them just by mass tanks and enough AA to keep them off your back.
Don't use the Stock AIs for any kind of comparison to anything.
As far as the basics to playing the game? You gotta get those mass extractors, not just the ones in your base, you gotta get as many as possible because the more mass you have, the more units you can build, and Mass Extractors are the only/best source of Mass, Energy is simple, you just build more Power Generators when you need them.
The most used Build Order used at the start of a match goes like this;
ACU builds a Factory(Usually a Land Factory, but some advanced builds start with an Air factory) then Builds on the 4 starting Mass Extractors and some Power Generators, the Factory usually starts with a few Engineers first to start capping Mass points outside the main 4 and to help expand your base with more power generators and factories as you income increases.
Mike|||bofhlusr|||Thank you all for the info about the AI. I'll use that info the next time around I play the AI. I played against it before reading all your tips and won by slowing down and sometimes completely pausing the game at the right time. The bad news is that it took me almost 4 hours! A long way from the 10 minutes it took to defeat the AI in the replay I saw. Still, 4 hours is not that long though compared to the 7-8 hours it once took me to win playing against 6 extremely tough AI in Yuri's Revenge with the Mental Omega mod (Red Alert 2 expansion and mod, 6 AI against me). I suspect that might have adversely affected my wrists permanently. What's the longest one session non-stop game have you guys played?
For curiosity's sake and still playing as the UEF, I'm going to tackle a cheating AI next in FA. How does the AI cheat. Can it be won without cheating?|||The AI gets faster resource acquisition, faster build rates (I think), and complete omni vision, so stealth and cloak are useless.|||The AIx will in all likelihood be too much for you at this point. Just a warning. It can be a challenge (not impossible) to beat even for good players, due to the fact that it gets complete vision coverage of the map, and get bonuses in both resources and build speed. So while you are still building your first factory, it has a factory, a few pgens, and a couple engineers out already. It still plays stupidly, but can easily overwhelm you with sheer numbers and the strength of its economy, and can get experiementals out long before you are even at that stage.
If you try to learn against it, you will become very adept at killing the AI by exploiting its weaknesses, while at the same time learning habits that will be detrimental to you when playing against a good human player.
