Play FA without the DVD in?

Why does FA require the DVD to be in the drive while SupCom vanilla doesn't? Is there any way to play without the DVD in the drive other than a no-cd mod?|||Patch it and it won't require the DVD|||Yes, updating FA to the latest version (or any version other than the retail version) will eliminate the disk check.|||Got it, thanks.
